Mauricio Maturana is an attorney-at-law with more than 26 years of experience in legal counseling, litigation, and dispute resolution in the fields of Labor, Civil, and Commercial Law.

 

Throughout his career, he has handled complex matters before Chilean Trial Courts, Arbitral Tribunals, Courts of Appeal, and the Supreme Court, representing both corporations and private individuals.

 

Between 2019 and 2020, he served as an Arbitrator, appointed by the Santiago Court of Appeal, presiding over disputes involving Civil Law, Real Estate Law, Partition Proceedings, Damages and Compensation Claims, and Administrative Law.

 

In addition, he served for six years as General Counsel of a public university, acquiring extensive experience in institutional legal management, internal procedures, regulatory compliance, and public administration.

 

Over the course of his professional career, he has advised and represented numerous companies, including YPF Chile S.A., GMO Optical, Sunglass Hut, Econópticas (Luxottica Group), PV Equip S.A., and Oservim SpA, as well as private clients and family offices.

 

In the academic field, he served as Professor of Labor Litigation at the Faculty of Law of Finis Terrae University. He is also a regular columnist for Diario Estrategia, a leading Chilean business newspaper, where he publishes legal analyses on matters of public and business interest.
